What you will do

Reporting to the Park Maintenance Supervisor of Parlee Beach Provincial Park, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing manual labour such as making minor repairs or assisting with maintenance work using tools of the trade.
  • Operating light motor vehicles in the transport of individuals, supplies, construction and maintenance materials, etc.
  • Cleaning, minor maintenance and general care of grounds
  • Loading and unloading and performing the necessary manual operation in connection with material being hauled; maintaining records of quantities delivered and picked up and performing related clerical tasks.
  • Using chainsaws, thinning saws and pole saws to clean brush
  • Performing other related tasks, as required


Work Environment

Working evenings, weekends, holidays, shifts and variable hours.


Need to have

  • Completion of Grade 10
  • Experience in labour work including the use and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required


Nice to have

  • Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training


Wage

$21.87 per hour
